I have been playing Crimson Ridge Golf Course every summer since its opening and feel that the course is now maturing and giving golfers a unique blend of challenging their golfing abilities along with providing a day of enjoying a beautiful and picturesque setting. The setting of various holes and combination of trees, water, and elevation changes make golf at Crimson Ridge a true northern experience. The staff does a great job of taking care of all customers concerns and needs
and are especially helpful to out of town guests. My family and friends look forward to their summer trips to SSM and a day at the Ridge.

Upon arriving at the first tee I was excited to see the elevation changes that would come into play throughout the round. I was very impressed with the layout and the challenging and exciting shots that were available on nearly every hole. The par 3 17th was an especially memorable hole for me as were the beautiful vistas available from many tees and greens.
It was a very fair course considering the elevation changes and rock outcroppings seen throughout. Some spectacular, scenic courses can come off a bit unfair or goofy but that’s definitely not the case with Crimson Ridge. It was a true challenge to a tour professional such as myself from the tips but play from the right tee decks would offer that same fair, exciting challenge to golfers of every ability. My only regret was that I would have loved to play the golf course in the middle of fall to see the namesake of the club.
I also had the chance to dine in the clubhouse on two seperate occasions and the food and service were fantastic and well beyond the standards of any golf course. To top it all off the people I met, both members and staff, were first class and very welcoming. I strongly recommend the Crimson Ridge experience.

Like panning for gold and winning a lottery, the likelihood of any golf course producing even a single hole capable of attracting national attention is slim at best. So there was an understandable excitement this spring in Sault Ste. Marie where the unveiling of the new Crimson Ridge Golf course revealed not one but two Canadian signature holes...it’s the combination of the two finishing holes that has everyone talking"

"Everytime I play Crimson Ridge I’m reminded on just how great of a job the Kevin Holmes Design Team did when they built the course. Crimson Ridge in my opinion is the perfect balance between challenge and enjoyment. Rarely do you play a golf course where you are already thinking about the next tee shot while you’re still playing the previous hole. Crimson Ridge gives you that feeling on almost every hole. This course will always be near the top of my list of favorite courses both in Ontario and in Canada and I’m already excited for my next visit to Crimson Ridge and Sault Ste. Marie"
